While the mediator is not in a position to make decisions about the matters of your divorce, the way they perceive you will still affect the strategies they implement in the mediation process, even if it’s just on a subconscious level.

So, as a general rule you can go with business casual attire for a mediation session. You don’t need to get as formal as you would for court, but it’s still a good idea to present yourself well and wear something nice. Just make sure whatever you wear is reasonably comfortable, as you may be in the meeting room for an extended session. This means wearing practical shoes and clothing items.
